In the making of Hithakarini-2

It's been 9 months and my friends dint lose the true spirits of 'Hithakarini' .
Yes!! am talking about the workshop we organized for the hearing and speech impaired children at vizag last October. I feel glad when the volunteers call me back after 9 months and say, "we wanna volunteer again, plan for 2nd innings of the workshop". "awesome."
THIS is what i want. and the meaning for this THIS lies in my friends spirit and asking me to plan for 2nd innings of Hithakarini. I just love it.
This time am planning big. Dunno how far it will be successful, but am trying my best. I want those children to benefit to the maximum from whatever i know and from whatever i do. Planning for this October 10th and 11th @ vizag. will get back to all about the details regarding this workshop.
god bless me gud luck, innovative ideas and confidence.
:O :) :( :P :D

how do you feel today???

i'm so lazy, i've thought of posting this an year back when i joined the school. i've downloaded a picture from google images and pasted one on my quarters door and the other in my work place. children loved it and teachers too. and the teachers took copies of it. i never know that it'll become a hot cake. then i thought i should paste on my blog and see the feedback.
what do u think it is???
it's a big thing. it makes a big difference.
paste this picture on the wall with a plain white sheet next to it, try to place it next to the switch board of ur bedroom. every night before going to sleep just jot down how you felt that day. at the end of the week/ month (at ur convenience) just count n chk for urselves abt ur feelings.

success stories:
1) a student of mine always used to show anger for everything. he never know how to express happiness. i took a mirror and asked him to immatate the feelings/expressions of this picture one after the other. he did. i told him, that he looked handsome when he was wearing a smile..the HAPPY feeling. even he accepted. he started slowly giving smile to other teachers and students. a small trial.

2) another student of mine who always used to feel guilty(he's child with learning disability so had to bear insults from teachers and peers) all the time. i've shown his face in the mirror with guilty expression. he gradually reduced show that feeling.

the advantage of being a special educator is that you can have a mirror in the class room. it works a lot. it helps in teaching social skills and self help skills. when we look at the mirror we see so many things. good and bad. good to keep it up and bad to be corrected. how many of us realise.
one good thing is that few intelligent people see the other side of themselves, both good and bad. but how many correct them?
it may sound as if i'm taking a psychology class for many..but am only telling my experiences.

coming back to the topic....how do u feel today? what do u feel about this picture??
am actually planning to paste it in my classroom for all those who show that stupid jealous feeling most of the time.
:) sans.

I miss u.....

These days I've been missing many people. few very important friends, a lecturer, few students, a very dear one, and for a long time I've been missing one very important person from whom I should say I've learnt maximum. this post is about that person whom i miss a lot and i'll be missing forever.

My granny, who is as soft as a petal, has taught me many things and i have learnt many things from her. if i have to say that i've won patience, it's just because of her.
Even at the age of 91 she used to cook, clean her house, water the plants, fast for the well being of her children and their children and grandchildren.
A very healthy, intelligent, smart young lady she was, never troubled any one and no complaints. A role model for women and grandma's.

I used to share so many things with her and even she used to share a lot and many secrets which she couldn't share even with her daughters. From these secrets I've learnt so much about life and culture and the value of a woman and how precious she is. she said that 'a woman is always one man's property'. so meaningful and truthful fact. this very thing remains in my mind, and alarms me whatever i do. it stops me from doing mistakes. it makes me to be genuine. and so am happy. i'm happy because am genuine and i'm real.

Dear granny i miss u, and i'm still unable to digest that it's been 3years that you left us all alone. in almost every conversation with dad I remember u. u were like a mother not just to dad even to me. we miss u. you are the goddess of truthfulness and sincerity. the stories u narrated will be remembered forever. the 'Ram puja' you used to perform was so powerful. your faith and belief in god is just outstanding. u'll be remembered for ever not just by me n our family but also by my friends and their families. u r great.i love u n i miss u so much. hope u r happy serving god and ur dream come true.

dance or trance

i dunno wot's happening with me...

it started last evening at around 5pm,when i got the news...till now am unable to come under my control. am just happy. happy to the fullest. i want this feeling to last forever.
i dunno whether it's my success or his. my student passed. he actually gave a big slap to all those teachers who rejected to teach him. very few teachers believed in him..and among them first stands this child sans. ppl just laughed at me and i still remember that moment when they said my student will never pass and i should quit trying. now it's my turn...i laugh at all those ppl who dint believe in me and my student. they criticized him. they never understood his difficulties, frustrated him, humiliated him. he came to me to show show that frustration in the form of temper tantrums. there were times when i felt like dying. everyday counseling myself and him.

this slowly lead to a strong bond from a very miserable relationship between us. sharing secrets and sorrows. fun and frolic. i dunno whether he ever realized that i taught him science in the form of gossips and that was my way of teaching. he loved that gossip and i loved the way he was learning. i miss it. i miss him. even he must be.

we haven't spoken to each other..it's been months. i wanna congratulate him. he dint turn up till now.

should i celebrate the happiness of his passing the 1st major hurdle...or should i long till he calls...
my mind is not under control. nostalgia.

i bunked my colez today..am sure some1 will comment me today.. 'body present mind absent' lol.
i don't want any stimulus. i'm just enjoying this trance state of mine.

1 big thing that's surprising me. my student did IGCSE grades 8,9 and 10 syllabus in just a span of 10 months.
Dear Iron-man(as i call him): ONLY U DID IT...AND ONLY U CAN DO IT. it's all ur hard work and belief, faith and dedication made u reach this. keep it up and continue crossing hurdles. remember!! this bony teacher(as he calls me) is always there to teach u, no matter whether it is science/maths , computers/commerce..... i'll learn and teach u as i used to. I love you POPEYE... ur's truly OLIVE
